Dr. Mike Kwan is Associate Consultant in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent, Princess Margaret Hospital. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Hong Kong and trained in general paediatrics at the Princess Margaret Hospital. He was awarded the Bill Marshall Memorial Fund and had specialty paediatric infectious diseases training at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, United Kingdom under Dr. Vas Novelli. He continued his specialty paediatric infectious diseases training at the New Children Hospital at Westmead, Sydney, Australia under Prof. David Isaac.

Dr. Kwan was awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Infectious Disease and Infection Control from the University of Hong Kong. He obtained the Master Degree in Science (Applied Epidemiology) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Kwan is currently the Vice President of the Hong Kong Society for Paediatric Immunology and Infectious Diseases. He has authored and co-authored publications on paediatric SARS infection.
