Highlight on Academic and Personal Profile:

Dr. Tse graduated from the University of HK in 1991. He then started his surgical training by working in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, one of the busiest hospitals in HK.

In 1996, he obtained his first surgical fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh & the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. He furthered his training and in 2000, he became a Specialist in General Surgery of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, and Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. In 2005, he was promoted to be the Associate Consultant in QEH & is also the Honorary Associate Consultant of the University of HK.

Dr. Tse has solid foundation in general surgery. He has vast experience in performing general surgical operations like endoscopy, abdominal and gastrointestinal operation, thyroid surgery & general laparoscopic surgery.

However, his subspecialty interest is in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He was specially trained in this area in several overseas centers, including in the U.K., USA and Australia. He initiated the practice of combine open and endovascular approach in managing patients with vascular diseases in his hospital. Currently performing some of the most complicated vascular operations by combining the skills and knowledge of Open and Endovascular Surgery, like surgery on peripheral arterial and venous disease, aortic and carotid pathologies and vascular access. His commitment in this area has leaded the vascular team to win the Outstanding Team Award in 2007.

In 2010, Dr. Tse performed the first successful case of Chimney Graft AAA Repair in HK, and his presentation has awarded the Best Scientific Paper of the College of Surgeons of HK.

Dr. Tse is also very active in his profession. He was the Chairman of the QEH Doctors Association, Founder of the Younger Fellows Chapter, currently the Council Member and Chairman of Corporate Communication Department of the College of Surgeons of HK. He has many publications and presentations, and is still actively involved in a number of studies.
